We have been very quite here lately.
Because, we are a only a small kennel and haven't had a litter of pups for the past two years.
Instead we have been enjoying our new family additions (Bailee and Rex).
However, Bailee is now old enough to have her first litter,
so we are hoping to have some puppies born this year during 2012.

We are a small kennel focused on quality not quantity. All LoyalRetreat puppies are born in a specially built indoor area. As our puppies grow they enjoy the hygienic indoor area which connects to a very comfortable outdoor play area, with grass, tunnels and shelter. All LoyalRetreat puppies are cared for and socialised with a loving family, including children, in the fresh air and country lifestyle of Goulburn NSW (close to Sydney and Canberra).
Health and nutrition is our top priority!
Our dogs have regular health checks with our local vet, plus, up-to-date Hip and Elbow Scores and Clear Eye Examination Certificates. All LoyalRetreat puppies come registered with the Royal NSW Canine Council Ltd (Dogs NSW).
To ensure nutritional needs are met, we use only top quality puppy and dog food. At LoyalRetreat we make sure all our puppies and dogs have a balanced diet of dry and wet foods. The dry product we use is Eukanuba. Plus, all our wet puppy and dog food is now being homemade at LoyalRetreat by a qualified chef to ensure our dogs and puppies get a full and balanced diet of protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates . The homemade food that we are feeding our dogs and puppies consists of top quality ingredients (such as local fresh lamb, beef, chicken, organic vegetables, rice, grains, eggs - plus more) and variety, while ensuring there is no added artifical colours, preservaties or flavouring.
In the past, we have been involved in the show ring but now prefer to spend more time with our dogs at home. The history of our pedigree labradors include champion blood lines from Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A and the U.K. Our dogs are kept fit and in shape with regular exercise. They also enjoy time in obedience training, which we find a very rewarding activity.
Labradors have been proven to be very intelligent, which shows - along with their loyal nature - why the Labrador Retriever is Australia's most Popular breed of dog and continues to be used for the Australian Guide Dogs, Police Drug Squad and Customs.
Our Yellow Boy ("LOYALRETREAT REX") is a nephew to the puppies used in the 2009 "KLEENEX" commercials.. |
